Job description

  • Support the Country Finance Director in managing Group accounting, audit, and legal affairs.
  • Manage the layout, entry, verification, control, and quality of transactions and accounts within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Group standards and relevant local legislation, with timely availability of information for financial statement preparation.
  • Depending on the organizational structure, be a member of the local team or CESP.
  • Supervise the Accounting Outsource partner.
  • Oversee Account Payable, Account Receivable, and General Ledger accountants.
  • Ensure alignment of financial books with both Group and VAS.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Conduct closing reviews consistently with Group standards to prevent surprises.
  • Ensure compliance of General Ledger entries with local and Group norms.
  • Substantiate accounts for reviewers, auditors, and controllers.
  • Validate, format, and submit financial statements to local authorities.
  • Certify financial statements in accordance with local norms by legal auditors.
  • Define, validate, and update rules for transforming Group accounts into local norms.
  • Ensure downstream data quality, meet closing deadlines, and apply standards.
  • Prepare and record accounting entries within established deadlines and rules.
  • Support annual budget processes.
  • Analyze accounts and provide substantiated information to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide corporate balance sheet and income statement to consolidation team in Group format.
  • Propose simplifications and improvements in line with Group standards.
  • Conduct self-assessments within designated responsibilities.
  • Participate in preparing responses to tax authorities' inquiries.
  • Explain aggregates and defend positions during audited closings.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or Economics.
  • Over 5 years of experience in similar roles in a multinational environment.
  • Strong business acumen for providing in-depth analysis.
  • Certification in accounting or chief accounting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in interpreting Vietnamese tax laws and accounting regulations.
  • Open-minded, and flexible, detail-oriented, precise, and numerically adept.
  • Fluent in English.
