Job description

  • Constructs Health – Safety – Environment policies, programs, procedures, and standards to guarantee strict compliance to HSE standards and to continually enhance HSE performance in all business processes;
  • Generates the entity's HSE year plans, budgets, annual goals, objectives, after receiving approval, make sure they are carried out;
  • Controls the entity's emergency & occupational safety and risk inventory and evaluations as well as the implementation of new or modified policies, programs, standards, and practices, ensuring completely implementation;
  • Ensures the monitoring of HSE performance or conformance through inspections; Recommends actions for improvement; Organizes management tools and systems to identify and correct potential HSE hazards; Ensures immediate actions are taken if required by the urgency of the situation;
  • Organizes internal inspections, internal audits and investigations and initiates and realizes corrective actions in case of deviations, in order to establish compliance with relevant standards and deviations from standards are detected and addressed.
  • Provides insights or advice at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative HSE developments by means of periodic and ad hoc reports and/or analyses and provide information for management, in order to facilitate informed decision-making taking into account HSE aspects and implications;
  • Participates in CAPEX projects or project teams in order to ensure HSE standards are fully included throughout all project phases and fully taken into account in any design;
  • Manages local HSE systems in line policy and procedures, relevant legislation, (certification) norms and/or customer demands, in order to provide insight into the state of affairs in HSE and reports the required information on HSE performance;
  • Analyses the relevant lagging and leading KPI for entity, in order to take or recommend appropriate actions and ensures the execution of all activities related to incidents; ensures the communication of HSE for staff to apply and comply with relevant HSE policies;
  • Executes and participates in various HSE improvement projects for the own entity plant in Divisional projects;
  • Establishes and maintains a network of essential partners and stakeholders, including local Safety Champions, to ensure cooperation and communication with regard to HSE goals.

Job Requirement

  • Having 5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained at multinational corporations, in fields related to the environment, labor safety, or HSE;
  • Experience in a production site's HSE role and putting improvement strategies into action are essential;
  • Previously worked in industrial safety, health, or environmental and had a thorough knowledge of HSE rules and regulations.
  • Excellent at planning and management, negotiation, networking, leadership skills;
  • Fluent at English communication.
