Shipping Manager

Job description

Manage all shipping activities (import material and export products)
Managing workload to meet tight delivery schedules.
Build and implement processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy of shipments.
Liaise closely with customs and other officials to deal with any issues related to shipping
Coordinates with all required freight carriers including negotiating prices and conditions regularly for the benefits of the Company
Directly work with partner/ supplier/ customer regarding to import - export shipment
Control budget of the shipping department
Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
Report to management on activities and issues
Prepare & review of custom ledger
Supervise and lead subordinates: Oversee a team of shippers to ensure efficiency, strong team work, and good work environment.
Cooperate with HR Manager to recognize talented employees for development (talent pool).
Develop SOP and train new hires
Responsible for building Job Description for each position within the Department and individual KPIs.
